As attars are Middle Eastern in origin, this 35% Attar Elixir concentration is a unique American interpretation of these ancient Arabic fragrances.  But instead of Damask rose and sandalwood from India, this attar is based on purely American materials like lavender and cedarwood.  All naturals used are sourced from the United States.  With an invigorating opening of four natural citruses with tobacco, lavandin, and cedar, this fragrance represents America from coast to coast.

American Attar Elixir contains mostly natural materials, but also a few synthetics that allow the naturals to be used at these higher levels, yet within their legal limits. Unlike traditional attars, this fragrance is IFRA-compliant and uses alcohol as a carrier. Presented in a custom glass spray bottle.

    STYLE - Woody Citrus Attar

    HOW TO APPLY - Attars are traditionally applied not with a sprayer, but with a glass stick that is dipped into the perfume, then applied to skin. Apply one or two drops to the back of your hand. Rub the backs of your hand together slowly to distribute evenly on both hands. A 3 ml attar yields approximately 60 applications.

    This fragrance is NOT vegan and contains ethical ambergris that is expelled by whales and found on a beach in New Jersey, USA.

    This fragrance also contains a small amount of synthetic materials to help make the fragrance IFRA-compliant. This means that the levels of certain allergy-prone materials are kept at or below recommended levels to keep your skin safe from allergic reactions.

    Natural materials contain sometimes hundreds of molecules that your skin may be sensitive to. Attars, being nearly pure oils, usually contain many more molecules than a standard commercial perfume. Test on a small area for possible reactions. Note that synthetics are often the same molecules found in natural materials except they can be hand-selected for safety.
